Merry Christmases

First Christmas--little Christmas
 Mwa!
Second Christmas--Mom's side of the family.
This is a whole mess of kids. I'm not sure how it all goes (three times removed?). These are kids of kids of cousins. Mom, Gary and Gene are cousins of Paul Saint; Granny and his Mom Irene were sisters.  All these kids trickle down from them.
Two of the best aunts, Aunt Kathy and Aunt Linda.
Life's built-in best friend.
This little gem is quite an amazing lady. I love my Granny dearly.
I love my Momma, too.
And my Dad.
And my hubs.
Third Christmas--the big family.
Zekers, Dad, Ashley, Mom, Nathan, Lijee, Alex, Daisy, April, Stevie and Reika. Missing Nick and Crystal.
How cute are these two?
That's almost a smile.
 My silly Zekers.
These two girlies are great buds.
A pretty good set of grandparents.
Woke up to a gorgeous sunrise on Christmas morning.
Woke up to a visit from Santa, as well.
Mommy did not want to spend money on this expensive cheer backpack, but Santa did. I'm pretty sure Daisy liked it.
The old tire that we used to play in when we were kids.
 Fourth Christmas--stockings filled in Texas.
Chuey's new Santa outfit from Sabin.
 Isn't she the cutest?
Fifth Christmas--Big Christmas with the Daniels
 Twister!
A good reminder that the best gifts around the tree are not those that are wrapped. I love my extended families and spending time with them.

49 and Feelin' Fine

My last birthday of this decade!
I spent my birthday weekend surrounded by the people I love most.

We started the birthday weekend with  our traditional Mommy's Birthday Fondue.
You can guess how much Eli loved the big forks.
My free glass of birthday champagne.
We're all looking at the guy taking the picture while Eli has a big fork and an open flame. Not sure how we made it out without incident. It was a Christmas miracle!
Sundance Square is always fun at Christmas.
Somehow there was no line for Santa on Friday night. Another Christmas miracle!
Saturday afternoon we went to the Texas Civil War Museum with some of Zeke's friends. They had the option to visit the museum or take a final, so the museum it was.
Isaac, Jonah, Grant and Zekers
Sunday morning we went to church. We got in our annual manger scene re-creation.
Sunday afternoon Daisy went to a piano recital and then her piano teacher's Christmas party.
Straight from the party to our neighbor's for cookie decorating and a visit from Santa himself.
Lijee is listing off the many things on his list.
Cracking jokes with the fat guy.
A different type of Triciabration these days. But I wouldn't have it any other way.
