A Big Family Christmas...Finally

We were happy to be in the good ole US of A for our first Christmas in three years! The Blizzard of 2022 caused some last minute changes in plans, but we rolled with it. It allowed us to spend time with Abe's family, starting Christmas Adam off with an evening of games at Main Event.
Solomon, Daisy, Zeke, Eli and Adam did some bowling, laser tag and pool while the grownups had time to catch up.
Big Daniels Christmas was celebrated together. It was nice to be with family on Christmas Eve.
Grannie and Grandad with their all their grands in one place--Daisy,  Eli, Solomon, Adam and Zeke
We practiced lying to each other played One Night together.
Before bed on Christmas Eve we opened one gift.
Christmas morning we discovered that Santa brought gifts and filled our stockings!
Finally the bigs woke up so we could start!
DanFam5 took our new game for a test drive.
Later we went to Grannie and Grandad's, where we played our game 'A Whole Lotte Fun' (compliments of our Danish friend, Lotte).
The game involves dollar store gifts and dice.
On the way home we stopped to enjoy some lights.
It was not planned, which is why we still have on our Christmas pj's. In public.
Merry Christmas!

Something Doesn't Add Up, Totally, Like, Fer Sure

Yo! DanFam5 spazzed out when we got to attend the 2nd Annual 'Sheiner' Murder Mystery Christmas Party. We had plans to be out of town, but the gnarly weather changed things. We like, didn't do too bad throwing together some totally rad costumes. Fer sure.

My character was the math teacher who was taking bribes to give the baseball boys good grades. Somehow things just weren't adding up.
*my bridesmaid dress with silk-dyed shoes and Abe's letterman jacket are true vintage
The prom was, like, totally gnarly.
Peter Prez was asking 🎶Don't, Don’t You Want Me🎶 to be prom king.
Rocker Rick was  ðŸŽ¶Dancing With Himself.🎶
ðŸŽ¶Another One Bites The Dust.🎶 Poor Bobby Backer.
Even with a murder, 🎶Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.🎶
Doesn't matter how old you get, you always gotta
🎶Fight For Your Right🎶 to parrrrrtaaay.

A DeLIGHTful Birthday

Triciabration started on Friday,
with Daisy's soccer game.
Next we walked through Lightscape at the Botanic Gardens.
Christmas Grove had many snow globe-type arches.
It was very reminiscent of lights in Korea.
Korea did not have Chili Mistletoe, though.
The singing tree lit up with the music.
The rose garden glowed a rainbow of colors (also very Korean).
I
Next came the bluebonnets--a Texas original.
The winter cathedral was cool. One of the workers told a friend that there was probably an average of four marriage proposals a night in the cathedral.
Of course the Japanese Gardens gave Korean vibes.
It made me a little homesick for my temporary home away from home.
The fire garden had tons of little fires (hence the name).

I waited too long to make reservations at my traditional birthday restaurant, Simply Fondue, so we had to go on Monday.
Zeke's friend Angel came with us.
To wrap up my 53rd birthday celebration, we walked around Sundance Square.
Time with the fam made for a great birthday.
