Night At The Museum

Last week was Carlson night at the FW Museum of History and Science. 

Lijee and I were discussing our evening plans that afternoon and he asked if all the zoo animals were going to come alive and chase us. It took me just a second, and then I remembered four months ago we watched Night At The Museum. That boy has a crazy good memory. He can pull something out of that steel trap from over a year ago, which is pretty long for a 4 year old. He can't seem to remember to put away his toys, but he sure can pull old memories out of his buttocks. I digress…

The museum was fun. 

We spent a lot of our time in the grocery store.

My Daiser was immediately drawn to the babies, but was embarrassed so she moved on to other 'more grown up' things. {Tear--my little girl who loved her babies for so many years is transforming into a big girl.}

Luckily we only sat in dinosaur footprints and the dinos did not come alive like the movie.

Underneath the Moon

Daisy and I enjoyed her Christmas present today. This year we opted to give the bigs the gift of experiences. Daisy got a Mommy & Me paint class.  It was fun, plus we got to spend the whole afternoon together, just the two of us.

Here we are, with a blank canvas.

 Well, actually it wasn't totally blank. She instructor had penciled the dark figures for us as a guide. Whew! That was a big help. We started painting the figures and the hills black.

 Then we mixed a few colors with white and started with the yellow. Then we worked our way out toward the edges.

 After that we touched up the black.

 We blow dried it a bit to hurry the process.

 Then I penciled the words.

 Last Daisy added the sparkles.

 Here is the finished product!

I love you in the morning and in the afternoon. I love you in the evening and underneath the moon.

2:00 - geocache

3:00 - pick up Noah and Keira for a sleep over

4:00 - obstacle course

around the trampoline

over the table

under the table

over the chairs

swing on the rings

climb the rock wall

get in the tent

slide down

10 jumping jacks

ride the scooter

5:00 - create/build something

6:00 - walk dogs and find interesting rocks or sticks

7:00 - make dessert

8:00 - treasure hunt

they all got individual pieces and then had to put them together to make a group project

once the group project was completed they all won a prize of $1

9:00 - games

10:00 - silly string

11:00 - screens

midnight - countdown!
