It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

Time go get all Christmassy up in here.
They love putting on their special ornaments given to them as babies/toddlers, and especially the ones with their picture. Zekers boasted, "This whole side of the tree is me!"
My little people definitely add the merry to Christmas.

The Cutest Little Wiseman Ever

Lijee performed his first ever musical for his PK Christmas program. He was without a doubt the cutest little wiseman you have ever seen.
He told me all about it weeks before as they were learning it. Here he is at home, practicing his part of bringing gifts to Baby Jesus. He said how important it was to walk slowly.
The whole performance was pretty adorable. There were hand motions, movement, drama and a few speaking parts. Eli sang all the songs and did all the motions to perfection.
After the serious acting out of the first Christmas story along with many traditional songs, they kiddos busted out some hidden bells to shake whilst they sang Jingle Bells. You could hear Eli 'singing' this particular song louder than anyone else and it makes me smile so big every single time I listen to it.
After that they surprised us with some silly glasses and rocked it out to Santa Claus Is Comin To Town. The kiddos were dancing and jumping and could not have been any cuter.
A few of them, Elijah included, walked up to the mic to sing the line 'Santa Claus is comin to town.' Lijee even karaoked his line two or 3 times.
As a grand finale, the fat man himself came in gave each of the students a present.
My Lijee was absolutely precious.
He really was the cutest little wiseman ever.

Give Thanks In All Circumstances

Thanksgiving came and went this year, as it always does. We were reminded quite harshly that life goes on. It was very hard. However, when I stepped out of my little box and remembered that I am not here for my happiness, but God's holiness, I found comfort. And I was reminded to be thankful not only this Thanksgiving, but always.

…Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.    1 Thessalonians 5:18

I am thankful for God's plan of salvation for us so that none should perish but all have eternal life. I am thankful Jesus died for our sins, defeated death by rising again, so that those who trust in him will one day do the same, coming face to face not only with all our loved ones again one day, but our Heavenly Father who loves us even more than we can comprehend.

I am also thankful for so many amazing people I am blessed to call family, both near and far, those pictured and not pictured.
Even though I miss my brother fiercely, I know that one day we will again be together. This makes me thankful in all circumstances.
