A Holly Jolly Christmas

DanFam5 celebrated a holly jolly Christmas with family, starting with the Big Daniels Christmas.

We played a game, but ad libbed it by substituting letters and numbers for words, because apparently a lot of people--or maybe just my weird family--mentally assigns colors to numbers and letters.

Majid took a nappetizer while we played the game.

DanFam5 read the short advent candle reading at church . The 4th candle was the candle that represents love, which we explained.

Once we arrived at Gramma and Grandpa's, the kids wanted to make s'mores so Grandpa lit the fire for them.

Gramma and I peeked our heads out for a minute, but it was too cold for us so we scurried inside.

Later that evening we played spoons with Gramma. (I won with just an 'S', but the way.)

Daisy and Grandpa took Zoey on her runs with the Ranger. Daisy lost Zoey two out of three runs. 😬

The three nieces came for Christmas Eve.

Santa found us on Christmas morning.

When we returned home we opened our gifts from each other.

This feeling right here sums up my Christmas. Thankful for family near and far, and for the gift of Jesus Christ.
