We're Here And Ready to Cheer

Since being a little girl, Daisy has always wanted to cheer. Last spring she tried out and made the cut!
Inner-city cheer is not quite what she had in mind. Instead of jumps and stunts, it's  stomp-n-shake. Daisy rolled with it.
The first day of school they wore their new uniforms.
The cheer squad is busy all year spreading much more 'cheer' than just during ball games. They hit the ground running the first day by going to the elementary to welcome the little kids back to school.
They cheered during pep rallies.
It was fun to watch both Daisy and Zeke perform at football games.
The week of Pyramid Night (the pyramid of elementary and middle schools that feed into WHHS) the squad worked with the littles and then performed with them at the football game.
This Pyramid Night was special for DanFam5, because all three kids performed.
Daisy, Ti'Nayiah, Addison, Ariel, Cujo, Isaiah, Ashley, Dasia, Jewlyet, and Ti'Necia
The Homecoming Parade was led by the cheerleaders.
The green and gold poms and socks were substituted for pink during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
After every football game, win or lose, the team comes over to the band. The football team and the cheerleaders sway to the alma mater played by the band.

At Christmas the cheerleaders and JROTC delivered gifts to a local elementary.
A few of the cheerleaders joined the band to march in the FW Parade of Lights.
Daisy drew the short straw and had to carry the rather large plaque that identified our school in the parade.
Cheer supported basketball, too.
The drumline and a few cheerleaders got up super early on one of the students' day off to welcome the teachers to their inservice.
Black History Month was celebrated with a program at Hills, and cheer was on stage to bring the hype.

I'm proud of my little cheerleader.
