First Beautiful Thing At HoCo

Daisy has been waiting on a cute HoCo proposal for the past 4 years, and she finally got it!
James said, "Flowers are the 2nd most beautiful thing in the world. Can I go to HoCo with the first?" And he brought roses. Isn't he sweet?
As part of the homecoming court Daisy got to ride on the fire truck in the parade.
Chris and Daisy are good buddies.
Daisy and I worked on her mum together. Upon moving to Texas years ago and saw homecoming mums for the first time, I declared they were ridiculous and I would not be making them for my children. And here we are. While I do still stand by my gut instinct that they are ridiculous, I have changed my stance on making them for my kids. I am actually going to miss making them with Daisy next year. And we all know that Eli will not be wearing one, as that shows too much eagerness to participate in a school activity. So my mum making days have come to and end.
We also made senior jeans. And by we, I mean mostly me when it came to the actual work. Daisy made the design and chalked it out, but she ran out of time, so the painting was delegated to Mom.
Here are the cheer girls with their ridiculous mums.
Sophia, Addi, Vivian, and Sam are one of Daisy's friend groups. When we were making Daisy's mum, we felt like we went a little overboard; as you can see, we did not.
I was able to attend the pep rally. Daisy was raising the spirit stick for the victorious senior class after the yell-off.
At the football game, Daisy was a bundle of nerves as we lined up for half time.
Her brothers were supporting her from the stands.
There we are on the field. Unfortunately Daisy was not crowned queen. The sponsor told me at the game that the vote was very close. Obviously we were bummed, but she's the queen in our hearts.
But my girl still smiled for the whole game.
It was pyramid night where the little girls who attended a cheer clinic the week before got to cheer at the game.
Saturday was the actual dance.
James bought a new tie to match Daisy's dress.
After a last minute change of plans, Daisy's friends came to our house to get ready. They were about an hour and a half behind their plans to take pictures at Sundance Square. There was a live band so it was crazy packed with people, and the sun was getting ready to set, so we didn't get very many good pictures.
Marley, Daisy Haley and Ana are a good friend group.
Our last HoCo with our little girl.
Our little social butterfly also attended her friend Chloe's HoCo at Southwest, as well. Because one homecoming isn't enough.
