I have hiked Waryongsan Mountain a couple times in the past. The azaleas were in bloom, so Chuey and I joined my hiking buddy Alyxis to check it out.
Alyxis commented on Chuey's nimbleness and energy for such a little dog and her advanced age.
Take note of that peak in the middle.
Waryongsan is the highest mountain in South Gyeongnam. Look at the views!
The peak at Minjaebong is 799m.
I was able to let Chuey off her leash. She loves running free, but she always stayed nearby. In several of the photos you can see her waiting on me. As she was running in the wild, leaping large boulders in a single bound, being courageous and adventurous, Alyxis decided her nickname should be SacaCHUEYa. I love it!
I told you earlier to notice that peak. Here it is again. I have been to 민재봉 Minjaebong Peak twice, but never gone on over to that other peak. Alyxis and I decided that today was the day. So we continued on.

We had to climb a bit higher. I had to carry little SacaCHUEYa up the steep parts that required ropes.
We made it over to the other peak! 새섬봉 Saeseombong is slightly higher at 801.4m. Sae means bird, and there is a legend about a bird and that peak, but it's been a long time since I heard it and I can't remember it.
At this point we had to make a decision: we could turn around and repeat the same path to the car, or we could forge ahead, ending miles from where we started and call a friend to come get us.
We chose to forge ahead!
A couple weeks ago I saw the double cherry blossoms at Cheongyongsa Temple. From down there you could view this mountain top.

You can barely see me in the middle of the photo leaning against that big rock.
