I was so happy to know that the expats do trick-or-treating. GIFS planned a school party on the 31st that goes late, so the expats hosted trick-or-treating the night before.
Malificent
the Grim Reaper
creepy mask man
Holy cow, the Grim Reaper is after me!
Here is Zeke, Jaden and Keenan. They did their own thing, but since there were a limited number of houses we bumped into them a few times.
Daisy, Lauryn and Mila trick-or-treated with Lijee and me.
We started in our building with Linda and Art. We heard they had full size candy bars so we didn't want to hit them too late!
This is where Lijee and I and the girls hooked up with the kiddos Eli's age.
It didn't take long for the girls to head off on their own because the littles were loud and crazy. The nice thing is, it was OK that the girls were on their own. Totally safe for them to walk the complex without an adult. Like the boys, we bumped into them on our tour.
Even masked men have to text their friends.
On Halloween day, Lijee's class did some kind of fun Halloween activity.
Abe and I were Robin and Steve from Stranger Things. Only a couple people knew who we were; most people thought we were sailors. Oh well.
Here is DanFam5 heading to the school party.
Mila, Joanne, Daisy and Lauryn are ready for the festivities.
At GIFS the kids all line up and make a parade in front of the judges.
There's Eli in the green shoes.
There's Malificent.
And there are the 3 matching masked men.
Zekers, Jaden and Ken won the middle school partner prize!
PTO organized a pizza dinner.
On the way out the door the kids got to trick-or-treat down the hallway.
Not too bad a haul for a country that doesn't celebrate Halloween.
When we got home on Halloween night there were few groups of Korean kids who came trick-or-treating. They did not have costumes, but word is out that they get free candy from the Americans so they came by. I thought it was cute.
After 2 nights of Halloween, this little guy was tuckered out.
