Under The Sea Is The Life For Me

Daisy loves manta rays and adventures.
So I got her the perfect birthday gift--snorkeling with the rays at SeaQuest.
Diving in...
to 10!
 Getting pumped for our snorkel.
See how many of these there are, all swimming right up to the edge of the glass? They were like that in the water. The instructor said they were like puppies, and they were. Very much like the dogs at our dinner table, trying to grab everything that Eli drops.
Wasting time before our instructor arrived.
You know, just hanging out, holding a scorpion. No biggy.
Here is Daisy being silly. During the snorkel, she was silly, but not on purpose. She was a little scared to breath underwater, which I get. It is a little scary the first time you do it. Once a horseshoe crab swam right between her legs and it freaked her out.
We couldn't get pictures in the water, so here is our boat picture after.

Zeker The Coder

One of Zeke's Advisory projects for 6th grade was a career study. He chose coding. The class visited an elementary to present to, but we were out of town for Alex's graduation that day. So I asked Eli's teacher if he could present to them since they also did a career study earlier in the year.
Zeke did a great job. Here he asked a question and his little brother raised his hand to answer.
You can see in all the pictures that he utilized his hands well, changing up the gestures.
Here he is referencing one of the tools a coder would use, which was a laptop that he created out of cardboard.
He discussed education, salary, and work environment.
He wrapped it all up with a Q&A session. Well done, Zekers!

Double-Digit Daisy

My little girl turned 10!
This girl is not camera shy and always has a fun pose.
 Showing off her new shoes.
 How sweet is this?
Daisy had been waiting patiently for her new bicycle.
Wednesday was her day for News Crew and her birthday just happened to be on Wednesday this year.
Zekers and I snuck in during announcements.
At the end of the day Daisy chose ice cream for her birthday treat.
After school we opened more pressies.
 Once again, the poses.
The final year to count all fingers.
 Daisy's choice of birthday cake--fudge.
Despite the quarreling, they really do love each other.
In case you forgot whose special day it was.
 Reading her SeaQuest certificate.
Grannie and Grandad helped celebrate our Daisy.
Daisy's goal for the summer was mastering a hand stand.
Happy birthday to the Daiser! Our middle child who acts like a first born. The girl who makes lists, is super organized, likes to take charge, and practices hard until she masters whatever she puts her mind to. The girl who has our hearts.

Sayonara, 6th Grade!

The first year of middle school, over and out! Since Zekers is at a different campus than the littles, he has a slightly different schedule. He finished up 2 weeks before they were done.
It's getting more difficult to get pictures of milestones such as this, but I got a few.
He walked away from 6th grade like a boss.

The ALA Tiger Award is kinda a big deal.
Not only did he walk away with all of these awards, but he also earned straight A's for the entire year.
He makes me so proud!
