Daisy and her friends had Pancakes and Pajamas on the morning of prom. They each ordered jammies to wear that morning that matched their dresses.
The theme was Arabian Nights.
We put so much crap on those tables. It looked festive and very Arabian.
Daisy and the other girls who were decorating got ready at the venue.
Then we went straight to the Stockyards to take photos.
James met us there. As he was walking up, a stranger stopped him and straightened his tie for him. It was cute.
About 3/4 of the group was on time.

Daisy and James got a matching bouquet and boutonniere which she sort of help design.
Getting all of these girls in one spot was like herding cats. It didn't work. We took pics with the ones who were there.
I told James to kiss Daisy's forehead. They were so embarrassed to do it in front of me. They giggled like a couple five-year-olds at the thought.
Mule Alley earned this name during World War I. Europeans would travel all the way to the Stockyards in Fort Worth, Texas to purchase mules for the war front. Mules were sure-footed in the rough terrain, had great stamina to pull the cannons and other gear, and they showed ability to remain calm during the shellfire. Just a bit of FW history for ya.
After photos, Daisy and James went straight to prom.
The softball girls ditched their cleats for their heels.
In the weeks leading up to prom, all of the seniors nominated their classmates for Senior Superlatives. Daisy was nominated in 5 categories: Most Athletic Girl, Friendliest Girl, Most School Spirit, Hardest Worker, and Most Likely to Succeed. While I was happy for her, I told her that because she was nominated for so many that she shouldn't get her hopes up to receive any; people who might vote for her would probably think she would win a different category and choose a different candidate. I'm happy to report that I was wrong.
She walked away with Most School Spirit,
Most Likely to Succeed,
and Outstanding Senior.
This honor is reserved for seniors who have made a meaningful and lasting impact on the school community and have distinguished themselves through personal growth, perseverance, leadership, character, resilience, academic achievement, and service. The boy and girl receiving the highest number of votes earn the titles of Mr. and Miss WHHS.
Daisy earned the honor of
Miss Western Hills High School!
