Shots!

I wasn't going to post about this, but I decided that years from now we will look back on this time and try to remember how we were learning to deal with Covid 19. So, here it is.

One of the US military bases here had some extra vaccines and the LM families were allowed to get them. In years to come, I think an annual Covid shot will be like an annual flu shot; they might even be combined. There are still questions about Covid shots because it is all so new. We're not even regular flu shot recipients, but it seems that vaccination is the way to stop Covid, so the Daniels signed up. Eli wasn't old enough to get a vaccine so he stayed back.

Most of the LM families loaded up on a bus and went as a group. It was easier to get one bus on base versus many cars.
In my limited experience of bus rides in three Asian countries, the inside of Asian buses are always so colorful. It's like a disco party to go.
The children 12 years and older got a Pfizer shot. They will need to return to get a second dose in three weeks.
I sat with the kids as they get theirs.
Look at what a sweet big brother Zeke is, comforting his fearful little sister by holding her hand.
Of course the one with all the anxiety got a little blood drop, which she was a little dramatic about.
Next the parents/grown ups got a J&J shot; one and done. The next day we all had a sore arm. Abe and I felt a little under the weather, like we had a cold. But that was it.
Here's to hoping the vaccine stops the spread of Corona.
