Eli's BFF is repatriating soon, so we decided that we would take him to EWorld as a going away gift.
EWorld is a theme park built around Woogang Tower, now called 83 Tower. In 1995 it was remodeled as a European-style amusement park.
I bought discount tickets in advance from a travel site. Unfortunately, rain was forecasted on our scheduled date. We drove there anyway, hoping for the best.
It had been raining, but by the time we went in, the rain had stopped.
We were like, this is awesome! We have the park to ourselves!
The first thing we came to was a haunted house. Daisy opted out. We had to go through two at a time. I went with Zekers and was scared. It was a good thing Daisy sat this one out; she would have freaked out.
It did not take long to figure out that nothing else was running.😭

The next ride we came to was the Viking ship. This is Eli's favorite type of ride. There was no waiting, and we even rode it a few times in a row. Coming on a rainy day was amazing!
The next ride we came to was closed. And the next. We started walking through the park to look for open rides.
At least there are a million photo ops throughout the park.
We decided to eat some lunch and maybe rides would be open after that. Since the place was nearly a ghost town, even the restaurants were closed. We settled on some not-so-tasty corn dogs. We had a cute little lunch guest, though.
After eating we were hoping more rides would be open after we checked out 83 Tower.
83 Tower is an icon for the Daegu skyline. You can just go to the tower without EWorld, or you can enter straight from the park. The name is derived from the 83 stories.
My sweet little boy still gives me kisses.
There is a Sky Drop that allows you to harness up and drop 123m, but it was also closed because, maybe Covid, but I think because of the rain.
Daegu is the third largest metro area in South Korea with 2.5 million residents.
Inside 83 Tower on floor is dedicated entirely to photo props.
Daisy refused to take my picture in this shoe because she didn't think you were allowed to get in it. I convinced Eli to take it, but he was nervous we were going to get in trouble.
This photo prop is a little strange. Why would there be a bed for pictures??
Just like N Seoul Tower, there are many locks.
We hit the Viking ride again. Several times.
When we were in the tower, we noticed the water ride was open so we tried it. We just kept riding it over and over without even getting off the ride.
Whilst on the log ride we noticed the carousel was open.
From there we found the bumper cars were open.
They were a lot of fun, so we rode those several times, too.
The boys wanted to do the Viking ride again.
The balloon ride finally opened.
The little guys wanted to ride the Viking ride last.
We were feeling fortunate that we didn't get rained on. Then these two asked if they could run through the fountains.
They started a little cautious.
They ended up totally soaked. So much for keeping dry from the rain.
Although the majority of the rides were closed due to the rain that happened early in the day, I would still say the day was a success.
When we got home, these two did what they do best: gaming. We are going to miss Alex when he's gone!
