Socially Distant Halloween

GIFS PTO's biggest event of the year is the Ghostly Gathering. We did some creative improvisation to pull it off even with Covid restrictions. The parents got left out of the loop and it all went down during the school day, but at least it went down.

Zekers was an 'e boy' along with the 9th grade 'e girls.'
Lijee and I went as Among Us characters. That is an online game that the kids are playing these days. Eli had other items for his costume planned but kept eliminating them until he settled on a post-it note and blue clothes. He's a real stickler for details, that one.
Daisy and Astrid were M&Ms.
There were lots of fun games in the gym.
Daisy's Volunteer Club sold cupcakes (that she and a few other girls baked). The kids got to decorate their own cupcake.
Daisy and Astrid won best couple for middle school in the costume contest!
At the end of the day the kids got to go door-to-door to get candy.
On the actual day, the expat kids went trick-or-treating at the homes of other expats.
The wonderful thing about being here amongst friends who live in the same complex is that the bigs go trick-or-treating with their friends on their own. The sad thing is that the bigs go trick-or-treating with their friends on their own. I didn't even get a group pic of the three of them together because they all left at different times.
Because we were contained to so few apartments, at least I ran into both of them at one point during the night.
Julius, Alex and Eli still let us mommas go around with them. I'm not ready to let all of them go without me just yet.
