On our walk along the Siran Sunset Walkway last week along Samcheonpo Port, we ran across the Big Top. We couldn't wait to bring the whole family for a Korean circus!
The owner was very kind. We had asked him about show times last week; he remembered us and even gave us a discount.
It was like our own private showing. There was one other couple and one other family of three in addition to us. At first it seemed cool to nearly have the place to ourselves, but we quickly realized we were responsible for all the clapping between every stunt. The performers deserved all the acclaim, but by the end our little hands were tired of clapping so much.
The seats were like little couches. Not exactly what you would expect at the circus, and it didn't seem the most hygenic, but at least they were comfy.
The entertainment changes every six months. These performers were from Mongolia. Other performances are from countries all over the world, including China, Philippines, India, Thailand and Sri Lanka.
It was mostly an acrobatic-type show. They were super talented.
These girls twisted their bodies in ways that did not seem natural.
These guys jumped rope while in this little pyramid.
I'm not sure what's going on here.
Ta Da!
