We celebrated our Daisy turning seven with as much noise as possible. We brought home 5 girls from school for the night. Those 5 plus my 3 are pretty noisy. Add in manicures, face paint, high heals, babies and karaoke, and the sound goes astronomically higher.
We started with some basic nails and singing. Whilst I was applying matching face paint on everyone, they emerged from Daisy's room wearing her dresses. Most nights lately Daisy likes to wear my high heals with her dresses. As I was applying more makeup out the girls trot, all wearing my shoes. Eww, right? They were happy, so I let them. Plus it was hilarious to watch because they would be walking along and just fall to the ground. As one of them had just hit the floor she confirmed what a friend had said, "Oh, yeah. Beauty does hurt."
They also invaded my lipstick.
Once they all felt sufficiently beautiful we had a photo session.
They're so silly and so fun.
At the height of their beauty, one girl said they should have a fancy meal since they were all dressed up. Another chimed in, "Yeah, something fancy like meatloaf." How funny is that?
They took a quick time out to welcome Grannie to the party.
Then on to more singing.
Time out for pressies.
American Girl time.
Cookie dough and brownie batter birthday cake. Seriously folks, let's bypass the oven and just eat the dough. I know you have thought about it.
A couple girls stayed the night, so we started the morning with their gifts.
Some pancakes and bacon before they headed home.
Lots of mani's, music, 'Merican Girls, and mayhem to celebrate our Daisy's birthday!
