I don't have many pictures to show it, but fortunately I have a lot of thanks to give.

Go Mean Green!
We wanted to attend a UNT football game with Zekers to support his uni and learn a bit about his collegiate lifestyle.
We started with Zeke's fave burger place, Slappy's.
Then we walked across campus, past the Union,
The University of North Texas was established in 1890. It wasn't until 1913 that the Mean Green football team came to be.
[November 23]I made Daisy strike a pose with the Mean Green Machine, a Ford Model A Tudor Sedan that can be found at sports games and special events.
The student body voted in 1922 to name the Eagle as UNT's mascot. Mean Green Nation affectionately calls him Scrappy.
UNT is the alma mater of the famous defensive player Joe Greene. Whilst he was playing for the Eagles in 1966, the wife of the sports info director yelled, "That's the way, Mean Greene!" after a tackle. The name Mean Green stuck for the uni, and later it stuck for the player Mean Joe Greene, as well. They played a Coca Cola commercial from the 80s where Joe Greene throws his shirt at the kid who offered him a Coke. It brought back memories from a pep rally we did in 8th grade where we did a recreation of that commercial. Instead of throwing our shirt at the kid, our 'Joe' threw a wig (he had a bald cap underneath). Funny the rando things you remember.
DanFam5 was down a man, who did not think that a football game sounded fun to him. You know, it includes people, and a venue that is not the living room.
After varsity victories, green lights shine on campus at McConnell Tower. Unfortunately there were no green lights this night, but the sky did its own beautiful lighting for us. Go Mean Green!

Howdy!
Texas A&M was Daisy's second college visit. It is the state's first public institution of higher learning, opening its doors in 1876. The Dixie Chicken has not been around that long, but it's been a tradition since 1974.
Howdy is the official greeting of Texas A&M, and Daisy and I gave The Chicken a big ole Aggie Howdy.
TAMU has the third largest student enrollment in the nation with 73,000. It's one of the few colleges to have land, sea and space-grant designations.
The phrase 'Gig 'em' dates back to the A&M/TCU game of 1920. Someone asked the crowd what were they going to do to those Horned Frogs, and answering his own question he yelled, "Gig 'em, Aggies!" referencing a sharp-pronged frog-hunting tool called a gig. He also gave the thumbs up sign, which just happened to become the first hand sign of the Southwest Conference.
The 12th Man dates back to 1922, when the Aggies were plagued with injuries during a game. A former football member was in the press box. The coach remembered he was in attendance, so he called him down to the field. He suited up, ready to help his team if needed. As the clock ran out, he was the only man left on the bench, earning him the name "The 12th Man." A&M has become known as "The Home of the 12th Man," and the student body demonstrates unity, loyalty and willingness of Aggies to serve when called.
Daisy was not impressed with all of the military history of Aggieland. We shall see if A&M is in Daisy's future or not.

Arrr! Life With a Fairy
Halloween is continuing to look different at our house. Of course Zekers is away at college. Daisy went to be a fairy at her friend Addison's house because their neighborhood had more families participating.
[October 31]
My baby still went trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. He was Life, with a bag of lemons.
His friend Sam came over, along with Sam's mom Natalie. He was a character from an anime show and Natalie was a Blockbuster employee, complete with a video and vintage name tag from the 80s.

Some Pig 2.0
Six years ago, DanFam5 experienced Charlotte's Web via Mrs. Wood's advanced theatre program. Zekers was a fantastic Wilbur.
He makes a great farmer.
Arable had his ax out, ready to take care of that runt pig.
Until Fern jumped in.
After some pleading from Fern and Wilbur, he relented.
Arable, Mrs. Arable and Zuckerman discussed the upcoming trip to the fair, oblivious to the sleeping Charlotte near her web.
