Brace Yourself

We pretty much ignored our dental hygiene whilst in Korea. Teeth cleaning was on the calendar as soon as we returned. None of the kids have ever had a cavity. We were shocked when a cavity was found during Daisy's cleaning visit! The poor thing was traumatized. After the numbing shot the doctor left the room while it took effect. She thought we were ready to leave. She freaked out when I told her that was just the shot and they still had to fill the cavity.
Daisy needed braces before we left for our Asian adventure, but she wanted to wait until we returned to get them from our friends at Stewart Ortho. Just 11 days after landing, we got the hardware on her teeth.
She was a champ, even as I saw a couple tears slide out of her eyes, down her cheek and fall to the floor.
Don't be fooled; she wasn't really happy afterwards.
As soon as Zekers returned from his scout trip he went in for round two with braces.
He has beautiful teeth. However, this time he needs to fix an extreme overbite called an over jet. He will be getting special hardware that connects the top and the bottom with rubber bands.
There were no tears falling from his eyes like his sister. Much less drama with this one.
