Monks Purging Stars Wars and Hippies

We were excited to finally carve pumpkins again! Korea had pumpkins, but not big ones to make jack-o-lanterns from.
This year Daisy and I saw videos on cutting the hole in the bottom so we gave it a try.
They also suggested using a hand mixer to get the seeds and gunk out.
Chuey was supervising.
The finished jack-o-lanterns earned a thumbs up from the little supervisor.
Can you guess which one belongs to which kid?

The kids and I like decorating the porch together.
I was thrilled that Zeke's group of friends chose to come here to trick-or-treat. They went as The Purge (a scary movie) and Spiderman.
Daisy invited Haley,
and her brother Dakota came to go with Eli.
Zeke thought it was weird that Abe and I put on brown dresses, and Daisy and Haley asked what a monk was. Abe and I thought we were festive.

Chuey decided to match Eli and go as Princess Leia.
Here are the monks purging Star Wars and Hippies.
Daisy's friend Natalie joined them.
There goes Eli and his friend on the left, with Daisy and her friends on the right.
There goes Zeke and his friends.
A couple of boys joined Daisy and the girls. Lots of friends getting lots of candy, making lots of memories. 💗

Hear No Cake, See No Cake, Speak No Cake

I brought Daisy and Zeke to the store to grab a couple things; we left with a cake mix and a tub of frosting because they had not had either of those whilst in Korea and I'm a sucker for dessert. They decided to do the TikTok blind-deaf-mute challenge that was probably inspired by the little monkey emojis.🙉🙈🙊

It brought much laughter.
I love these people.
Oh, I forgot to mention that they also begged for Halloween sprinkles. The cake was yummy.

White Belt In The House

Eli has started a self-defense and martial arts class.
They are learning to stop and de-escalate conflicts, in addition to using practical and intuitive physical skills to escape a physical attack. They get to use sticks, and Eli loves sticks. I can't say that he loves the class, but he's going.
He has already progressed to a white belt since starting a few weeks ago.
I'm proud of my boy for trying something new.
