World Chocolate Day

I'm not usually one to make a big deal of the "World 'x' Days", because there are so many, and honestly, just made-up random days. But since it had been raining for days and there was rain on the forecast for days, we celebrated World Chocolate Day!
Thanks to my friend Linda we had some white, milk and dark chocolate, along with fun sprinkles to add some flair.
We had cute little molds left over from our trip to the Chocolate Museum last summer. While the chocolate was melting, we added the sprinkles to the molds.
Once they had the molds filled to their liking, we started piping in the white, milk and dark chocolates, as well as the caramel sauce.
Nearly finished.
Some chocolates required a group effort.
If you think this was easy work, you have another think coming. Look at the sweat built up on little Lijee's brow and nose.
Ready to go in the fridge!
While the chocolates were chilling in the fridge, we chilled on the couch and watched Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
These guys are ready to pop out.
Look how pretty!
We may never celebrate World Chocolate Day again, but it was fun!

We Will Rock You

Rainy season is time go get creative with activities. Therefore rock climbing was the activity of the day. They started us off with some stretching.
And then they were off! The bottom floor of the building is just free climb, without a harness.
Zekers has always loved rock climbing.

The other two grew bored of it quicker than him.
Here's part of the crew, trying different paths to get to the top.
Their poor little hands were tired.
Eli, Matthieu, Nic, Karoline, Julius, Astrid, & Daisy
While taking turns on the harness wall they played some ping pong.
Of course Zekers scrambled to the top.
Daisy pushed herself, not willing to be left behind.
I was proud of Lijee for making it all the way up!

Red, White and BlueBQ

July 4th started with a bang as we went to lunch at our favorite Korean BBQ place.

We had so much meat that Zeke had to run a grill, too.
Daisy and I made some patriotic cookies to share with friends when we shot off fireworks.
Daisy and I then went to purchase some fireworks. Not a big choice, but a little somethin-somethin from the local store.
As we were walking home from purchasing fireworks, the rain started. There was a beautiful double rainbow that lasted for about 5 minutes. The photo does not show how bright it was.
We also enjoyed a beautiful sunset. However, the rain did not stop, so our fireworks were cancelled. Bummer!
