Fly With Eagles and Swim With Dolpins - Goeje Sea World

My Daisy loves to go on adventures. It has been a dream of hers to swim with dolphins. Whilst Daddy was in South Korea during her 5th grade promotion, he found a place to swim with dolphins. Kind of an elaborate 5th grade grad gift, but we were moving our family half way around the world without their approval, so we thought it was worth it. We're not above bribing them.

The card said something about 'As you graduate, we want you to metaphorically spread your wings and fly with the eagles, but we literally want you to swim with the dolphins.'
We had to wait a couple months, but it was finally happening!
Dolphins, here comes DanFam5!
We had a little time to kill before any activities started, so we took advantage of the photo ops.
We were hoping to get a glimpse of the belugas before the show.
They had a few reptiles. There were several snakes that had white on them. I don't think I have seen white snakes before.
We enjoyed a cute beluga show, although the words were in Korean.
 Cuteness breaks all language barriers!
We also got to pet some lizards.
Next it was time for the dolpin show. By the way, that is not a typo. Hangul does not have the /f/ sound, so instead of pronouncing dolphin, they say dolpin.
Finally, the moment we had been waiting for! Our turn to interact with the dolpins! We received wet suits to put on. Daisy was having some issue getting hers on--it looked like she was a little person. haha!
There we go! Let's start swimming!
We were not able to take our own pictures, so I just have a couple of the experience. We were able to pet both a dolpin and a beluga. Then we were able to ride them a couple times across the pool. The dolpin was fast! So fast that she sprayed water in our faces. Her name Cemba. When we took pictures we made the dolpin dance. Right before Cimba danced she poo poo'd. The trainer was like wow, that doesn't happen very often. She must have had a bad dining experience because she did it twice.
The beluga was a gentle giant. His name was Billy. We sat right on his back and he slowly moseyed across the pool. The trainer kept making Billy spit water at us.
We decided we want our own beluga as a pet!
There are several photo ops inside the building that we hit before we left.
Because we bought the whole upgraded package at Goeje Sea World, we got 'service' tickets for a nearby waterpark. Bonus! We didn't even know there was a waterpark nearby. It's called Goeje Water Park Ocean Bay by Daemyung Resort.
The odd thing was when we got there we were informed we had to wear something on our heads. Ball caps or swimming hats or sun hats; whatever floats your boat, but you had to wear something on your head. We are not sure if it's because they are worried for your safety from the sun or if they feel it's a hygiene issue. Anyway, we had to go to the gift shop and buy ball caps. But now DanFam5 has matching ball caps!
It was a little odd because we had to go through boy and girl changing rooms to get to the park. The boys got one locker and us girls got one locker. Koreans are more open with their bodies and we walked past many naked ladies on our way through, which really creeped Daisy out. Since it was kind of an ordeal to get from the locker rooms to the park, I just left my camera so we don't have any pictures.  But you can kinda see the park in the background of our hat pics.
There were several slides, indoor pools, a lazy river, and jacuzzis. One slide Daisy and I could not do because you had to take off everything (which is a lot, because if you remember the Koreans do not like to get sun on their skin) all the way down to your swim suit bottoms. Women are not allowed to ride because we have to wear our tops. Crazy, huh?
Our favorite attraction was the Extreme River. We were expecting a lazy river, but it was not lazy at all! It's like a wave pool combined with a lazy river. Super fun.
My girl loved her 5th grade promotion celebration day.
And we love her.
