Zekers aged out of MusicPraise this year. He found not one, but 3 activities to replace it.
Stage Right is a new group at church for 5th-8th graders focusing on drama led by Ms. Yana and Ms. Andrea.
They did several activities, but The Life Of Jesus was by far the the most powerful. The kids portrayed Jesus' life from birth through his resurrection with no words, but with song and pantomime. It was incredibly touching and brought the audience to tears every time they performed it, and they got a standing ovation each time, as well.

The year culminated with monologues dealing with struggles of teens but reminding us all to focus on Christ. Zekers was on the phone with a friend for his.
Acclaim is 5th-8th grades as well. They are a choir group led by Mr. Josh.
Youth Hand Bells is for 5th through 12th grades and led by Ms. Charlotte. She took a risk taking on Zekers since the only music experience he had was the recorder (thanks, 4th grade). He did a super job and liked it so much he decided to join band in 6th grade and become a percussionist.
