Disgust[ed] With Stick Boy and Ninja

We started Halloween with carving the pumpkin.
Double sided--Daisy designed the happy face
and Lijee designed the scary face.
Nothing changes. Each year Daisy doesn't want to touch it,
Zekers is the only one who will dig the guts out,
and Lijee wants to cut everything.
The 8 year tradition continued. The Williams, The Stevens and the Daniels terrorized the streets begging for candy.
Enjoying the haul.
They enjoyed handing out candy when we were done almost as much as they enjoyed getting it.

My Parents Are Good As Gold

Three houses, 3 kids, 9 grandkids, 1 great gandkid and one on the way, 2 stations, multiple post offices,  5 mules, lots of doggies, 1 damn duck, a couple boats, a couple more campers, a few trips to the principals' office, lots of laughter, even more love, 1 set of vows.
It's been a good 50 years.
There was a lot of prep for the celebration. Dad smoked lots of great meat.
Steve always picked out flowers for Mom for gifts from us. There was a little bloom on the flower at his cross this week.
Tucking the brisket into bed.
This was their original cake topper and invitation.
Thank you to all our friends and family who have been so present through these 50 years. Through the folks' sickness and health, richer and poorer, good times and bad.
See those crooked candles? Fifty-year old candles from their wedding day.
My folks are good as gold, and they have the anniversary to prove it. What a great 50th anniversary celebration with friends and family. I'm proud of my parents and so blessed to be a part of this family.
