Alice Carlson is all about involving the whole family. At the end of each year there is a banner parade. Any family that has not made a banner has the opportunity to do so and walk in the parade. The family banners are hung in the hallway until the final member of your family has graduated from Alice Carlson.
Our banner is special because we included Great Granny and Grandma. Great Granny sent the little quilt squares to Grandma's house. Grandma helped Zeke and Daisy sew them together. Viola! This is what we came home with.
We painted our letters with everybody's name and a little somethin-somethin about each of us, and added them like so.
Headin' out for the big family banner parade. We walked through school and people lined the hallway, cheering us on. I felt like I needed candy to throw. Or a little Shriner motorcycle. Or maybe some red carpet and paparazzi.
