Our Lap Dog

Sometimes the doggy likes to sit close by.
But sometimes we like to love her and pat her and hug her and squeeze her and call her George,
even if she is a little big for it.

'Winning'

Today was the annual Karate Tournament
at our karate studio.
You're looking at a couple medalists!
Daisy took 1st place in the forms competition (a set routine with blocks and strikes).
Zekers took 2nd place in board breaking.
The little guy acted like a champ today, too, hanging out and watching big brother and big sister.

Chwistmas Time

I love me some Christmas season.  Songs, lights, trees, decorations, Triciabration.  But I like to wait until Thanksgiving is over.  However, the pure bliss in my boy's reaction was so cute he almost got me in the mood.

As we passed a decorated Christmas tree on the way to school this week I pointed it out to the kids.  Elijah responded with such excitement in his voice, which was so high pitched it was almost only audible to dogs,  "It's Chwistmas time!?!"  I love that little boy.

Good VS Evil

Just like our jack-o-lantern who was a bit conflicted between good and bad, so were my trick-or-treaters.  We had a scary ghost,
a Spiderman who kind of resembled the Hulk after he outgrows his clothes,
and a witch who was a good witch or a scary witch, depending on whom she was talking to.  To most she called herself a good witch, but she told Grandpa, "I'm a bad witch and I'm gonna cook you up."
Oh, and we also had an assassin and a vampire.
Our annual tradition of having the Williams and the Stevens come trick-or-treating lives,
as well as our annual tradition of Grandma going house to house with us
while Grandpa and Koko man the candy.
As a special trick, or maybe a treat, Zeke lost a tooth while trick-or-treating!  Look closely and you can see the little bitty tooth in his fingers
and you don't have to look closely at all to see the big gap now 3 teeth wide in his smile.
Happy Halloween!
