One Man's Trash

...is another man's treasure.  Trash day I saw a playhouse on the curb.  We ran home after dropping Zeke off at school and checked it out.  It is nicely worn with doggy chew holes and some mold, but we thought it was salvageable.  Daisy and I drug it from the yard to the grass on the end of the cul-de-sac and left it for Daddy to get when he got home.

We checked on it every time we drove by to make sure the garbage collectors did not get it.  When The Pops got home we all went and helped load it on top of the X-Tera.  Next came the bleach and hose.  Then we thought it should set in sun a couple days to dry the inside where the bleach/mold was.  Finally it was time to assemble and play in it!  The first order of business was a picnic.
It has been in constant use the past few days.  I think they appreciate it a little more because they had to work for it.  A little delayed gratification.  We didn't just buy it--we went dumpster diving for it!  But clearly our neighbor's trash has become our treasure.
