It's bluebonnet time in Texas! That wonderful time of the year when you know spring has sprung. Being a native Kansan, my Lone Star comrades will be pleased to know that I am raising my children to be authentic Texans. We venture out to memorialize the coming of spring with our annual and obligatory bluebonnet pic (well, our picture session--tomayto tomahto). And Daisy would make you darn-right proud. She points out every single patch of bluebonnets to me as we drive down the highway almost as well as she points out the po-po's. After taking pictures this year I read them The Legend of The Bluebonnet. The Daiser was quick to point out that the little girl picked a bluebonnet and she isn't supposed to do that. That's right, most Texans believe it's illegal to pick one of those little flowers (it's not, but these people down here are cray-cray, I tell you.)

Day 6: Wee Care at church. Special treat to have Zeke in my class.
Day 7: Botanic Gardens with Granny
Day 8: St. Patrick's Day at Railhead with the fam and friends
Day 9: hanging with my Mom and Gary & Linda, Justin & Jessie, Hailey, Landon & Elsie, Dick & Mary and Emily & Jeff.
*Bonus day* hanging with my Mom and family again
(I was naughty and took Zeke out of school to play with the fam. Made it even more fun to be skipping school.)
The kids spent 2 nights and 3 days with everyone at Dick & Mary's. They were heart broken when they finally had to come home.
What a wonderful week spent with my kiddos, family and friends! Man, I love spring break!

Amen
Sunday, March 4th Daisy trusted Jesus to be her savior. What a glorious blessing!
The next day I asked her, "Who loves you, Daisy?" I was expecting her to say Mommy. Her reply was Jesus. :)

Holes In Her Head
My Pretty Girl just got a little bit prettier.
Daisy decided today was the day to pierce her ears, so we did it. I was very proud of her; she was incredibly brave with just a few tears.
Later tonight, after studying herself for a minute in the mirror she remarked,
"I kinda look like a mom."

Lesson Learned
Lesson learned the hard way, that is. Last night was Zeke's kindergarten program. He had a short speaking part. He was one of 7 chosen out of 100+ kindergarteners, so this Momma was a little proud of her boy. I had the camera ready, turned it on right before his turn, and,, and... nothin. 'Battery exhausted.' His part took all of about 10 seconds, and the stupid camera would not even work for 10 lousy seconds. Abe grabbed his cell phone from his pocket, but by the time we got it out, on, and turned to video, it was over. :( I have no proof on camera, but Zekers did a fantastic job! Next time, I will make sure to charge the camera battery before hand.
This was taken afterwards, post-battery charging.
Little Daisy listened to Zekers practice, and she knew it, too. She froze on camera, though.
