And To All A Good Night

Team Daniels had a wonderful Christmas!  I'll try to keep it simple:

Wrapping presents.
 Making gifts.
Dressing for snow.
Sledding with Grandpa and Crystal.
Searching for pressies through a spider web maze.
Playing with Great Grandma, great aunts and uncles, cousins, 2nd cousins and third cousins.
Making birthday cookies for Jesus with Nick.
Getting into everything.
Opening pressies.
 Opening more pressies.
 Still opening pressies.
Playing with cousins.
Eating wrapping paper.
Cuddling with Great Grandma Evelyn.
Sneaking some party mix.
Receiving gifts picked out and purchased from our little people just for us.
Me loving that Zeke and Daisy shopped at totally different times at the school store for gifts that they could buy with their own money; Daisy picked the same thing for Zeke that he picked for me and Daddy--a cross key chain.  That's right, we be lovin' Jesus up in here!
Digging through stockings.
Still trying to pull off ornaments.
Enjoying our new gifts inside,
and outside.
Sneaking a Krispy Kreme.  Busted.

Playing with more cousins.
Feeling pretty jazzed about his first Christmas.

Little Cindy Lou Who then asks, "Why, Santa?"

And The Grinch carved rode the roast beast himself.

Cat's in the Cradle

I know our kiddos are only young for such a short snapshot of time, and I should treasure every moment.  But I don't know how much more cord-pulling, grate-rubbing, knife-grabbing, and dog food-eating I can handle.  Not to mention the dangerous activities Elijah's into.

'Tis The Season!

The season is here and Zekers and The Daise were certainly jolly ~and helpful~ as we put up the Christmas decorations this year.
My jolly little elves precisely put all of the ornaments on the bottom branches of the tree, mostly in one spot.  Why be bothered with the top, right?
As you can see, Elijah was napping as the decorating was going down.  The joy of Christmas was upon him as he awoke to discover the new bright, shiny object in our living room.
Momma was quickly on a recon mission for the downed decor.  Thankfully the top of the tree was empty, because it didn't take long for all of the ornaments to make their way from the bottom branches to the top.  Yet somehow Elijah still manages to find things down there to grab.

We also got the outside lights on.
Of course I had to get everybody by the tree.
The finished product in its full glory.
We hope you find time to enjoy the season...
and remember what it's truly all about.
