Chivalry Is Not Dead
The kids and I were exploring and we got to the entrance of a tunnel with a lot of junk in it. Zekers was going to go first, but backed up and said ladies and girls first, boys next. Melted his momma's heart...until his next comment. "I said that because I was a little scared to go in there."

Mommy in the Making
Daisy loves her babies. She had one in the buggy, and Zeke pulled a typical big brother. He got the buggy and ran it around the house very fast. When Daisy finally rescued her baby she bent down and sweetly asked it, "What's wrong? Did Zeke hurt you?" Lil' Mommy even gives the paper skeleton a buggy ride.

Tuesdays With Morrie; Wednesdays With Trish
After the bath I was trimming my toenails. Naturally I had an audience--all things are done with an audience of 2. Daisy was sitting on the floor so near she couldn't get any closer. She repeated about 4 times, "Can I watch? Can I watch? Can I watch?" She clearly was watching, but since she kept repeating herself, I finally said yes, she could watch. Immediately her head went down within an inch of my toenail and she commmenced watching. I stand corrected; she could get closer.
Then Zeke had my tweezers. I asked him to be careful with those because they were my favorite pair. I went on to explain that Daddy doesn't like my favorite pair, and I don't like his favorite pair. Zeke then thought aloud, a little condescending if I may say, "I guess they don't like to share."

Pre-K Today, College Tomorrow
My baby Zekers went to pre-k this week. Yes, I cried, but not until Daisy and I left the building.
Here is the family on meet the teacher night.
My boy before we left the house.
This is getting settled into his room.
He loved it. Yay!

That's One Big A** Spider!
As we were sitting at the table eating lunch, Zeke casually tells me, "There's a spider down there." I almost ignored it since spiders eat bugs, but then thought it might be a black widow or brown recluse, so I better check it out. Holy crap! There was a HUGE wolf spider--right there in my kitchen! After some internet research to be sure that monstrosity was indeed a wolf spider, we took it outside to the end of the cul-de-sac (translation: far from our house) to let it go. I think it was pregnant, and in my current condition I felt for her. That is a quarter beside the beast, to help you see how big she is.
